Rotary

Rotary Club of Bombay West (RCBW), chartered on April 24, 1954, is the second oldest Rotary Club in Mumbai, India, and is recognised as one of the most prestigious clubs in Rotary International District 3140.

The Club has many achievements to its credit in terms of innovative programmes and projects in the areas of healthcare, education, environment, cultural heritage, human excellence and so on, resulting in a rich history of nearly 50 years of service to community.  

The Club highlights are

Establishment of "Rotary Service Centre" building in Western Mumbai.

Establishment of Charitable Trust with good corpus fund.

Membership strength of about 140 – a driving force for the club programmes.

Membership with strong moral character and conduct which upholds and promotes Rotary ideals of Service and Fellowship in letter and spirit.

Commitment to sustainable community service programmes with a focus on:

 

Hearing Impaired children : training and development

 

Student community : educational support activities

 

Healthcare : Treatment-to-cure of Tuberculosis patients, prevention of Drug abuse , General OPD and Polyclinic and awareness about AIDS.

Won innumerable District and RI awards, including International Award for Most Innovative Programme.
